Meet Dr. Thedinger
Dr. Thedinger is a native of Kansas City. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University and his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Harvard University-The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, MA . Dr. Thedinger completed a fellowship in Otology/Neurotology from The Otology Group/Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Thedinger has additional extensive specialty training and academic medical experience, with a continuing commitment to education and otologic research. He has authored numerous scientific articles and co-wrote a textbook on dizziness. He was the first physician in Nebraska to surgically insert a cochlear implant in a child.
Dr. Thedinger is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a current member and past president of both the Metro Omaha Medical Society (2003) and the Nebraska Medical Association (2017). He is also a member of the American Neurotologic Society, the Otosclerosis Study Group, the Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Thedinger and his wife Kelly, have three children and four adorable grandchildren. He currently serves on the boards of the CUES Fund– Christian Service Education Service and the Picotte Center on the Omaha reservation. He recently lead the physician campaign to raise funds to restore the hospital built by Susan La Flesche Picotte, M.D. in 1913 in Walthill, Nebraska.
